Yoruba filmmaker Seun Egbegbe has recounted his experience in jail after he was found guilty of stealing nine iPhones at a shop located in Computer Village in Ikeja, Lagos State.

Seun Egbegbe who recounted his experience in an interview with Biola Bayo said that he had 45 counts of charges against him in court but only one count was used to convict him.

The socialite, who had been romantically associated with well-known Yoruba film actress Toyin Abraham, claimed that the moment he arrived in jail, he implored God that, if he existed, he had to escape alive because every day, people died in prison.

Seun who claimed he had done a lot of dirty things in life before but had never killed anyone also noted that prison is not a good place to be as he says no reasonable person should be there.

He said; ‘‘I now have an NGO which is focused on helping inmates in different prisons and the drive to set it up was when I saw how the Redeemed church catered to the welfare of 3000 inmates every Sunday by feeding them Jollof rice and packs of water.

Seun noted that the iPhone matter which landed him in prison is a complicated one and also disclosed that his father is now old and prays his parents live to eat the fruits of their labour.
