Valentine Ozigbo, a candidate for governor from the All Progressives Congress (APC), made accusations against Charles Soludo, the governor of Anambra State.
Soludo was reportedly afraid that Ozigbo would run as the party’s nominee in the upcoming election on November 8, 2025.
“If Soludo is asked to swear on a Bible, it can be proven that the governor is funding Nicholas Ukachukwu to undermine the APC,” he said.

However, Christian Aburime, Soludo’s chief press secretary, told The Cable that the accusation was entirely Ozigbo’s creation.

He remarked, “That is absurd. The idea is a product of Ozigbo’s imagination. It is recommended that Ozigbo confront Ukachukwu and keep Soludo out of their issues. With no affiliation to the APC, the governor is a member of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA). Delivering the benefits of democracy to the populace is his main goal. He ought to stay out of APC politics, Ozigbo.

Due to the primary election results, Ozigbo has since sued the APC in the federal high court in Awka, the capital of Anambra state.

Ukachukwu, the APC, and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) are named as defendants in the lawsuit, which aims to invalidate Ukachukwu’s nomination and force the party to acknowledge Ozigbo as the legitimate candidate.
