Sophia Momodu, the babymama of Nigerian Afrobeat musician Davido, has denied rumors that she prevented their daughter Imade from going to her father’s birthday celebration.
This was reportedly the result of a Snapchat user accusing her of preventing Imade from attending Davido’s birthday party.
“Sophia, why don’t you allow your daughter to celebrate with his dad?” wrote the critics.
Sophia retaliated to the critic, claiming that the rumors going around are untrue and purposefully misrepresented to blame her for the issue.
Davido’s babymama claims that she has always been a protective mother and that people should refrain from involving her child in online controversy.
Sophia emphasized that Imade’s privacy is her first concern and cautioned against disseminating false information on her daughter’s welfare.
“You people have been doing this false narrative thing for over 10 years now,” she wrote. I also try to be as gracious as I can, but I’m a very protective mother. You are free to say anything you like about me. Leave my youngster alone, though. There is no negotiating this. Her mother won’t use Imade as leverage to get her to comply.
