Omoyele Sowore is a well-known Nigerian activist and former presidential candidate who has criticized the administration of President Bola Tinubu for the ongoing security problem in the country.
He referred to a widely shared video clip of a recent terrorist attack in a post on his X account.
He criticized Tinubu’s administration for being ineffectual and noted that if the problem is allowed to worsen, other areas of the nation would come under terrorist control.
He claims that there is now no leadership guidance in the nation to address the security issues.
He added, “Under the corrupt and ineffectual leadership of @officialABAT, Nigeria’s security situation has drastically worsened, raising the possibility that more significant areas of Nigeria could come under terrorist control, as has happened in Syria.
“At the moment, Nigeria lacks leadership guidance.” “#RevolutionNow!”
In the meantime, Sowore has said that Peter Obi, the 2023 Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, cannot be considered the opposition.
During a Channels Television broadcast, he made the argument that Obi has not demonstrated any opposition to the ruling class.
Sowore repeated his long-standing skepticism over the political effect and intent of the former governor of Anambra State, dismissing claims that Obi is still the opposition’s most recognizable figure ahead of the general elections in 2027.
“But in terms of actual opposition,” he replied. I don’t understand why Peter Obi is referred to as an opposition figure. He doesn’t disagree with whatever the government does. He didn’t rally his followers to fight for the election triumph he claimed.
When fuel prices went up, he remained silent. Nothing that is usually done by an opposition figure has been done by him.
“What is happening now is what I said in 2022 and 2023: that, despite the perception that Peter Obi was against the system and might challenge it, he is actually unable to do so.

Additionally, I said at the time that the Labour Party was a short-term rental service, similar to what Americans refer to as Airbnb. After your allotted time has passed, you check out.
They will transfer the rental to someone else after they have finished with Peter Obi. It’s possible that Obi is staying for show or that he doesn’t want to leave just yet.
Sowore also contended that religious sentiment produced by the APC’s Muslim-Muslim ticket was a major factor in Obi’s rise to prominence in 2023.
“Christians said, ‘If you want to Islamize Nigeria, we’ll Christianize it too,’ in response to the entire debate surrounding the Muslim-Muslim ticket. And which Christian candidate was the most accessible? Peter Obi
The former presidential candidate contended that Obi had eschewed the public activity, resistance, and mobilization necessary for genuine opposition.
“You have to behave like opposition if you claim to be one. Put at least 60,000 of the six million people who voted for you on the streets to gauge how seriously the government will take you.
Because you only want to replace Tinubu’s group with your own, you are the ones stifling protests, he remarked.
