Every Nigerian is treated as a local resident in Sokoto, he underlined, which gives residents of the state a sense of community.

The Sultan therefore called on other nations to follow suit in order to foster enduring peace, harmony, and unity among all Nigerians.

He stated, “In Sokoto, we have members of the resident communities, not non-indigenous people.”
According to Sultan Sa’ad, security is the cornerstone upon which all societies can advance, and state governors must place a high priority on safeguarding the lives and property of their constituents.

“We in Sokoto are grateful for the Governor’s efforts and would like to reassure him that the traditional institution will back him in carrying on with his excellent work of changing our State.

“The state has seen a remarkable improvement in the fight against banditry, thanks to the efforts of the Governor and our security agencies,” the Sultan continued.

In his reply, Governor Aliyu reaffirmed the administration’s resolve to do everything within its power to protect the state’s safety and security.

He said that the main cause of the growing insecurity in different parts of the nation is unemployment, especially among young people.

In order to create productive members of society, this administration has taught and graduated thousands of women and youth in many trades.

“In our modest attempt to reduce restiveness among our youths, I want to assure you that we will soon embark on another massive skill acquisition program to engage more unemployed youths,” he promised.

The governor reaffirmed his dedication to making Islamic matters a top priority in the state, promising citizens that his administration will keep concentrating on building more mosques and Islamiyya schools.

He conveyed his appreciation to the populace for their prayers and support of his government.
