Damagum’s arrangement with Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), was criticized by the previous governor.
He declared, “Let’s call a spade a spade; the party’s acting chairman has let us down.”
Suswam responded, “I would have done far better because I wouldn’t engage in an agreement with the Minister of the FCT and reneged on it,” when asked what he would have done if given the chance.
“I’ll work with stakeholders to get a consensus. Those who have survived the intensive care unit are in the party. If the correct thing is done—which I doubt—then I think so. The majority of citizens no longer trust the party’s leadership.
