The leadership council of ‘Ndieze-Igbo’ issues certificates of authentication to members as advised by the government

The council of Ndieze-Igbo, during the August monthly meeting, authenticates members of the Lagos council by issuing certificates, which verifies that members are recognized according to their jurisdiction of service as directed by the government.
More than 20 members of the council of Ezes attended the August meeting, which was held on Saturday, August 10, 2024, at Eze Augustine Okonkwo’s premises and chaired by Eze Chika Nwokedi, the chairman of the Eze council where discussions were held regarding the significance of certification and accountability for members.
Speaking with the secretary of the Council of Ndieze Lagos, Eze Amb. Dr. Ferdinand Aguneke Esq., he said the need for the recent development was a resolution passed by the council of Eze Ndigbo regarding member authentication and certification in line with the current practice of those bastardizing Ezeship in Lagos State.
Ferdinand also noted that the authority given to the council by the government says,All members of the Eze council must be certified; any Igbo leader without the certificate cannot be referred to as a member of the council. All executives and chairman are expected to also have it. Therefore, this leverages a given identity with certification as evidence that you are recognized as a member irrespective of where you are crowned, he added.
On situations regarding the divided factions of Ezeship in Lagos, Eze Ferdinand said,
“To us there are no divisions; with time there will be harmonization, and everybody will be entitled to the certificate.”
