The New British PM Reacts To Questions About His Wife’s Business Operating In Russia.

The new British Prime Minister and leader of the Conservative Party Rishi Sunak could not deny when asked by the media that the Indian company in which his wife has a stake still continues to operate in Russia.
According to reports Sunak was asked about his wife’s business on Sky News.
The presenter retold the information that appeared in the information space about the fact that Sunak’s wife seems to have a stake in the Indian IT consulting company Infosys, and this company still has an office in Moscow and cooperates with the Russian Alfa Bank.
“I am an elected politician and I am here to talk about what I am responsible for. My wife is not,” Rishi Sunak replied.
The presenter agreed that although the Prime Minister’s wife is indeed not a British politician, it looks strange in a situation when British taxpayers are funding aid for Ukraine and hosting Ukrainians who are abroad because of the war. “It looks like your family is earning money in a country with Putin’s regime,” she said.
“I don’t think this is the case, and as I said, the activities of all companies are their business. We have imposed significant sanctions and all the companies we are responsible for are complying with them as they should, sending a very clear response to Putin’s aggression,” Sunak said.

Asked if he could say the same about Infosys, the Prime Minister replied: “I am completely unaware of this because I am not associated with this company.”
It should be recalled that Rishi Sunak replaced Liz Truss as Prime Minister in late October after the unsuccessful idea of tax reform, due to which she sharply lost popularity and was forced to resign after a record short term. “EuroPravda” told in detail about who Rishi Sunak is and what Ukraine should expect from him and the new government.
