Nigerian disc jockey Florence Otedola, better known by her stage name DJ Cuppy, has stated that she hopes to celebrate Valentine’s Day as a married woman.
The 32-year-old performer expressed her desire to get married before the next Valentine’s Day celebration on Friday via her verified Facebook account, amid the erupting love mood of the 2025 Valentine’s Day celebration.
According to reports, the daughter of well-known Nigerian billionaire Femi Otedola posted a sincere plea asking God to help her fulfill her dream of marriage.
“Happy Valentine’s Day to me!” she wrote.I’m manifesting that this will be my final single day. Do what you want to do, Lord.
The statement comes more than a year after she and British boxer Ryan Taylor, her former fiancé, split up.
The couple dissolved their romance in July 2023 and unfollowed each other on Instagram. They were engaged in December 2022, just 25 days after they first met.
As Nigerians celebrate Valentine’s Day, evangelist Mike Bamiloye, a well-known Christian filmmaker from Nigeria and the head of Mount Zion Faith Ministries, has issued a warning.
Bamiloye cautioned in a post on his Instagram page on Friday that fluids from men might be sent to shrines for evil purposes, and that many young girls and women could become victims of money rituals.
Known for his provocative gospel movies, Bamiloye voiced his worry about the negative aspects of Valentine’s Day celebrations, saying that reckless indulgences will ruin many lives.
