Ayekooto Akindele, the leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has claimed that Rotimi Amaechi, the former minister of transportation, has resentment toward Muhammadu Buhari, his former mentor.
According to reports, his remarks came after Amaechi made a recent remark that ranked former President Olusegun Obasanjo higher than other past Nigerian presidents.
No administration since then has been able to sustain a stable economic bridge between the rich and the poor, according to Amaechi, who said that Obasanjo was the last Nigerian leader to cultivate a flourishing middle class.

During a two-day seminar in Abuja with the topic “Strengthening Nigeria’s Democracy: Pathway to Good Governance and Political Integrity,” Amaechi made this declaration.
In a post on his official Facebook page on Friday, Akindele, a staunch supporter of President Bola Tinubu, claimed that Amaechi might be upset that Buhari did not back him in the 2022 APC presidential primary.
Ayekooto claims that even though Amaechi worked to build infrastructure in Buhari’s hometown of Daura, the immediate past president was unable to force the former Rivers State governor to join the ruling party.
He wrote, “There are two reasons why Amaechi would never forgive Buhari: Buhari didn’t force himself on the APC even after obtaining a chieftaincy title in Daura and establishing a Transportation University there. This cannot be forgiven, Chai.
“Despite pleading with Buhari to let him return as minister, he resigned to run a stadium marathon for an APC ticket and lost shamelessly. Buhari was just saying MININI because he didn’t understand what he was saying.”
