Former PDP Deputy National Chairman Chief Bode George has demanded that Nyesom Wike, the minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), be removed from the party.
By taking away the PDP national secretariat’s land in Abuja, George said, Wike has gone too far and has no right to stay a party member.
Wike’s conduct was characterized by George as an open declaration of war against the PDP in an interview with Arise News on Friday.
I’m suggesting that he has gone too far. What do you want to find if you cross the red line? After all, why is he still there? “What?” George inquired.
The Minister should be given the way out of the party, he argued, comparing Wike’s move to a son taking over his father’s home.
“Why do you think your father is still a man if you have traveled to take over his home? What makes him a party member, in your opinion? Asked the PDP chieftain.
“It would be the height of shame and irresponsibility if the PDP leadership did not take action against Wike,” George said.
“No, no, no. You know, these things are simply breaking at the party. It is necessary for the group to get together. We need to get to know the board of trustees’ leaders. We hold the party in trust on behalf of its members.
“A young man has gone too far if he said that the PDP party secretariat should be revoked” (PDP). He has proclaimed war on everyone. It’s a shame, too. As seniors and leaders, we must be careless if we do nothing,” George remarked.
The bias of the PDP Disciplinary Committee
George reportedly said in the interview that the PDP National Disciplinary Committee, which is chaired by Chief Tom Ikimi, is prejudiced in favor of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar during the interview.
He revealed that this was one of the factors that led him to decline membership on the committee.
The National Disciplinary Committee, led by Chief Tom Ikimi, a former Foreign Affairs Minister, is really supporting Atiku Abubakar. The same committee’s secretary, Eyitayo Jegede, SAN, is on Atiku’s side, and they invited me to join. No, I couldn’t, I said.
He explained his decision to not serve on the committee by saying, “To start, I met Tom at this party. He cannot have me as a servant. Furthermore, the structure of the thing was distorted. “So, where do you begin?”

Supreme Court’s National Secretary Decision
George discussed the Supreme Court’s decision on Friday, which reinstated Samuel Anyanwu as the PDP National Secretary, and stated that the party must accept the decision and move on.
“I was informed this morning that I should return because the Supreme Court rendered a decision once more,” he added. We’re not hesitant. Nothing needs to be done by us. We are unable to appeal to anyone at this time. We need to return.
He stated that the PDP’s path in the face of the ongoing crisis would be determined in large part by the national convention, which is anticipated to take place between October and November.
