In honor of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s 74th birthday, a nationwide art show called “A Nation in Portraits” is scheduled to take place in Abuja on March 24, 2026.
A variety of Nigeria’s political, business, diplomatic, and cultural elite are anticipated to attend the show, which is being organized by Artifact Galleries in collaboration with Red Carpet Protocols. It will start at 4:00 p.m. at the A-Class Event Centre, Diamond Hall.
Hope Uzodinma, the governor of Imo State, will host the event. Abdulaziz Yari, a former governor and senator of Zamfara State, will chair it. Folashade Tinubu-Ojo, the president’s daughter, will be the grand host.
The exhibition’s organizers claim that hyper-realistic portrait paintings of notable Nigerian state governors and foreign individuals who have significantly impacted the nation’s development, leadership, and governance will be unveiled.
President Tinubu, First Lady Oluremi Tinubu, Vice President Kashim Shettima, State Governors, National Assembly members, traditional leaders, and prominent business and innovative icons are among those whose photographs will be shown.
Toyin Jinadu, the exhibition’s convener and the creator of Artifact Galleries, characterized the occasion as a cultural endeavor meant to honor leadership while highlighting the contribution of art to national development.
“This exhibition is more than just a display of artistic talent. According to Jinadu, “it is a cultural homage to leadership and a statement about the transformative power of the creative industry in shaping Nigeria’s future.”
The Bola Ahmed Tinubu Centre for Arts & Vocations (BATCAV), a proposed organization that aims to train Nigerian youth in visual arts, photography, videography, graphic design, printing, and other creative talents, will be highlighted in addition to the exhibition, according to the event organizers.
They pointed out that the center is intended to be a national center for cultural preservation and talent development, with the ability to increase youth empowerment and establish Nigeria’s creative sector as a major force behind economic expansion.
The exhibition’s organizers also stated that it is intended to promote Nigeria’s expanding creative industry while acting as a visual archive honoring leadership and influence.
Invited dignitaries, stakeholders, and members of the public have been requested to attend what is being billed as one of the most important art events in the nation in 2026, with preparations well on and artworks almost finished.
