According to President Bola Tinubu, his government is inspired by the backing of the National Assembly during the past 19 months and is committed to guiding Nigeria to the “promised land.”

Speaking on Wednesday, the president welcomed former principal officers of the National Assembly in Lagos, Vice President Kashim Shettima, and the National Assembly leadership.

“The core of what we do is Nigerian. We are here to help.

The journey we have taken is a path of transformation for all of us. For our tomorrow, that is. For the next generation, that is. For the unborn children, your dedication will bear fruit.

“We all benefit from your dedication to value addition and fostering the can-do-must-do mentality,” the president stated.

Recognizing the parliamentarians’ support, the president promised to put in more effort, embrace intellectual curiosity, and make brave choices for the advancement of the national economy.

According to a Yoruba proverb, “only a brave dog will catch the animal in the bush,” he continued.

The Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, praised Mr. Tinubu for his bravery and dedication to reform and gave him the assurance that his government had the support of the National Assembly.

“You are not alone in your quest for healing, change, and the reconstruction of the country.

He declared, “You have the support and support of the National Assembly.”

Citing successes like Nigeria’s Eurobond’s oversubscription, increased ease of doing business, and rising trust among international investors, Mr. Akpabio emphasized the Tinubu administration’s promising economic outlook.

The president’s support and admiration for the National Assembly was praised by House of Representatives Speaker Rep. Tajudeen Abbas.

He said that the president, vice president, president’s wife, chief of staff, secretary to the federation’s government, and a number of ministries were among the important administration individuals who had previously served in the National Assembly.
