Congratulating Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo on winning the governorship election, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu said that his reelection is a testament to his innovative leadership.
According to reports, the governor won with 422,664 votes, surpassing Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu of the All Progressives Congress, who received 99,445 votes.
Tinubu congratulated the governor on his win in a statement that he personally signed on Sunday.
He noted that he became the third governor in the state’s political history to earn a second term as a result of his resounding victory in Saturday’s ballot.
“I must also congratulate the people of Anambra State, the security agencies, and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on the successful and peaceful conduct of the governorship election,” Tinubu stated.
“The state has advanced significantly under Professor Soludo’s leadership, and his reelection is a testimonial to his innovative leadership.
“Governor Soludo, the Solution, has shown that, in fact, knowledge is power and that academic concepts can be used to serve the public, supporting responsibility, openness, and responsible resource and human resource management.
“In May of this year, I traveled to Anambra State and officially opened a few projects carried out by the Soludo administration.” I emphasized the brilliant ideas underlying Mr. Solution’s groundbreaking projects. I will never forget that incredible event.
“I applaud Governor Soludo for bringing discipline, grace, intelligence, and a new outlook to Anambra’s governance.” Anambra is fulfilling its motto, “Light of the Nation,” under his leadership.
“I implore Governor Soludo to seek the assistance of his opponents in the just finished elections and to be generous in his win.
“I look forward to further cooperation between Anambra and the Federal Government, and I reassure Governor Soludo of my steadfast support.
“The opposition’s success” The election of the All Grand Progressives Alliance once more shows the strength of our political system and the difficulty of preventing any progressive and diligent leader from winning.
According to the accounts I have received so far, the new INEC Chairman, Professor Joash Amupitan, and his team conducted what observers have called a credible election, and for that I must also applaud them.
“I task the commission with upholding the standards and enhancing its performance so that we can keep fortifying and expanding our electoral system.”
