The All Progressives Congress (APC) Lagos State Chapter stated on Friday that despite the increased insecurity, Nigeria is taking significant, historic efforts to safeguard the country and restore normalcy.
According to Mogaji Seye Oladejo, the spokesperson for the APC’s arm, Tinubu boldly announced a State of Emergency on Security, demonstrating zero tolerance for terrorism, sabotage, and criminality.
Oladejo stated in a statement he signed that the president’s approval of the hiring of 20,000 more police officers, increasing the total number of new hires under his administration to an astounding 50,000, demonstrates his commitment to securing Nigeria.
The current recruiting frenzy, he said, is the biggest security expansion in recent memory.
Oladejo claims that Tinubu is acting decisively based on recent events.
“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is taking concrete, historic steps to secure Nigeria and restore national stability, unlike the empty talkers masquerading as statesmen,” he declared.
“In an audacious and unprecedented measure, he has declared a State of Emergency on Security, signifying zero tolerance for terror, sabotage, and criminality.
