The Nollywood star Tobi Makinde has declared his engagement to his unidentified partner.
“I had only one job which was to get a ring to fit perfectly but I blew it and got a bigger size,” Tobi reportedly said in an Instagram post on his failure to get a ring that fit his partner perfectly.
The actor claimed that he had proposed a few months prior and was eager to start the journey of marriage.
As he expressed his love for his partner, Tobi said he prayed to God about his choice.
“The love of my life said yes to me a few months ago, and I was extremely happy,” he wrote. This journey that I’m about to take excites me. It has always seemed so unrealistic, but like every significant life decision I have made, I have sought God’s face and, believe me, he has always guided me in the right direction.
“In essence, I just had one task, which was to make sure a ring fit flawlessly, but I failed miserably and ended up with a larger size. In any case, that has now been resolved. An intention is irrelevant. My sweetheart, I adore you. Finally, I’m commoting for the “let the singles breathe group.” Call out “hallelujah!”
Tobi started his acting career as a child, but he rose to fame with his part in Funke Akindele’s drama series “Jenifa’s Diary.”
Battle on Buka Street, one of Nollywood’s highest-grossing films ever, marked his directorial debut as well.
