Both the well-known Hollywood actor Gene Hackman and his spouse Betsy Arakawa have passed away.
The couple and their dog were discovered dead in their New Mexico house on Wednesday afternoon, February 26, 2025, according to information obtained.
The Santa Fe County Sheriff’s Public Information Officer, Denise Avila, confirmed the event to ABC News on Thursday, saying the pair was discovered during a welfare check after their neighbor contacted to inquire about their well-being.

According to the officials, the couple’s death did not appear to be the result of foul play.
At 95 years old, Hackman, who was well-known for his parts in The Conversation, The French Connection, and The Royal Tenenbaums, died.
In other events, after suffering a stroke, legendary Nollywood actor John Amaefule was brought to the hospital.
In an Instagram post, fellow actor Stanley Ontop confirmed the development.
Amaefule was admitted to the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), which is situated in Owerri, the capital of Imo State, according to Stanley Ontop.
The actor, whose left side of the brain is suffering from a stroke, appealed to the public for financial support.
