Three English Premier League, EPL, clubs tried to sign Manchester United’s Kobbie Mainoo on a season-long loan during the summer transfer window.
Daily Mail reports that the EPL clubs were Everton, Aston Villa, and Tottenham.
Recall that Mainoo had requested a loan move away from the Red Devils in order to get more game time this season.
However, the Red Devils refused to let the England international leave Old Trafford on a temporary basis.
Apart from the three Premier League clubs, French club Marseille and Serie A sides Napoli and Roma also enquired about Mainoo.
Meanwhile, in another development, Besiktas reportedly made an offer to sign Arsenal forward Leandro Trossard.
Trossard is the subject of a €25 million bid from the Turkish Super Lig side, who still have their transfer window open.
As per Sozcu Spor, the Turkish club has reignited their interest in the Belgian, who has been linked with a move away from Arsenal following the arrivals of Eberechi Eze and Noni Madueke this summer.
