Atalanta director Tony D’Amico has said the decision on Ademola Lookman’s future will be made at the end of the summer transfer window, DAILY POST reports.
Lookman returned to Atalanta’s training centre for pre-season exercise last week.
Lookman submitted a transfer request earlier this month, and also absconded from training as he pushed to leave Atalanta for Inter Milan.
Inter have, however, pulled out of the move after failing to meet Atalanta’s €50m valuation.
The 27-year-old is expected to be sanctioned heavily by Atalanta for his action.
D’Amico admitted that they are disappointed with the player’s action, and will make their assessment next week.
“We are sorry for everyone, but right now this is the situation. We’ll make assessments at the end of the transfer window. As of today, there’s disappointment,” he was quoted by TMW.
Lookman has two years left on his contract with La Dea.
The Nigeria international could still leave the Bergamo club before the end of the transfer window.
