Nigerian troops killed two terrorists during an operation in Kankara Local Government Area of Katsina State.
Security analyst, Zagazola Makama, disclosed this in a post on X on Friday.
According to Makama, the troops from 17 Brigade Strike Group, supported by special forces, carried out the offensive around Malali Bridge.
He explained that the operation, which began on September 3 as part of Operation FANSAN YANMA, saw soldiers advancing toward Zango High Ground in Kankara.
According to him, marshy terrain slowed the movement of military vehicles, but the troops continued on foot and engaged the terrorists.
“Two were killed in the encounter, and one motorcycle was recovered,” Makama wrote.
