President Donald Trump has sent the names of six new ambassadors to the United States Senate for approval, the White House announced on Tuesday.

The president wants Tammy Bruce, of California, to be confirmed as the Deputy Representative of the U.S. to the United Nations, with the rank of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary.

During her tenure, Bruce will serve concurrently as the U.S Deputy Representative in the UN Security Council, as well as U.S. Representative to the Sessions of the UN General Assembly.

63-year-old Bruce is the principal voice for America’s foreign policy, being the spokesperson for the United States Department of State, a position she has held since January 2025.

Also nominated is the Director of the White House Presidential Personnel Office, Sergio Gor, of Florida, to be Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the U.S. to India.

Brent Christensen, of Virginia, Under Secretary for Arms Control and International Security and a Senior Foreign Service Career Member, will become the Ambassador Extraordinary to Bangladesh.

Another Senior Foreign Service Career Member, Stephanie Hallett, of Florida, is the incoming Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the U.S to the Kingdom of Bahrain.

James Holtsnider of Iowa, also a Senior Foreign Service Career Member, is the new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the U.S. to the Kingdom of Jordan.

For the Republic of Iceland, President Trump nominated William Long, of Missouri, to be the new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States.
