Claims that Ubi Franklin, a music executive, stole a high-end wristwatch while attending Davido’s wedding in Miami, USA, over the weekend have been refuted.
After a blog post connected him to the alleged theft, the accusation reportedly started to circulate online on Wednesday.
A man named Benny contacted Franklin in Miami and tried to sell him a watch, according to a thorough statement on his 𝕏 account.
He looked into its past and decided not to purchase it in order to prevent problems later.
When Benny’s brother gave him another wristwatch during the wedding church service, he reportedly agreed to buy it and paid for it in full.
Due to the hectic schedule of the wedding, he admitted to momentarily having both watches, but he gave one back before departing.
After leaving Miami in a haste to be ready for his sister’s funeral, Franklin said that Benny called him regarding the other watch while he was flying.
He maintained that he had never stolen anything in his life and that Benny had already denied the rumor before it persisted on the internet.
