“Wike’s Behavior Now a National Embarrassment” – Bode George Blasts Presidency

Olabode George, a former deputy national chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has accused the president of working with Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister Nyesom Wike to dismantle the PDP prior to the general elections of 2027.

According to reports, George stated that Wike’s behavior is turning into a total embarrassment and a source of shame for Nigerians in an interview with media in Lagos.

He urged Tinubu to summon Wike to order, emphasizing that although the INEC is aware that Wike and others lack the right to organize a national convention on behalf of the PDP, the Presidency is the one controlling the entire scenario.

“This is Tinubu’s administration, not Wike’s administration,” he declared. Nigerians are observing from East to West and North to South. The repercussions will be unacceptable if a crisis arises. You want no one to run against you in 2027 despite claiming to be a Democrat. Who is doing that? Is Nigeria a Republic of Bananas?

How long is it? Now that Nigerians are aware of the reality, the nation is in a state of graveyard quiet. Wike’s actions are turning into a cause of shame and utter embarrassment for this nation’s decent citizens. Speaking as though he is the Commander-in-Chief is complete insanity.

Without the support of Mr. President, Wike could not possibly be acting in such a power-drunk manner. The fact that the president still permits Wike to act in this manner demonstrates his poor historical knowledge.

“Everyone recalls the cover that Prime Minister Abubakar Tafawa-Balewa gave to some of the figures utilized in the First Republic to demolish that era, but nobody talks about them again.

“Mr. President, you will bear your cross by yourself when the shit hits the fan.” The way Wike is handling your alleged enemies and attempting to dismantle opposition parties may make you pleased right now, but the outcome will not be agreeable.

“Any catastrophe in Nigeria will have an impact on all of Africa. Where are the anti-democracy groups that brought down the first, second, and third republics? I hope Nigeria doesn’t blow up with someone like Wike.

“I can guarantee the President, INEC, and the judiciary that Nigeria is greater than them and that Nigerians will no longer put up with this blatant nonsense from this power-drunk Minister who wasn’t even alive when the Western Region crisis began in 1962.”

George went on to compare the scenario to the biblical voice of Jacob and the hand of Esau, pointing out that Wike, the presidency, and the All Progressives Congress (APC) are making a grave error.

“They mistakenly believe that PDP’s approach to normalcy and constitutionalism is foolish,” he said. Nigeria is the reason we are cool, collected, and serene. Every action taken by these individuals violates the Constitution. Nigerians are not foolish. They’re observing.

“You can see the hand of APC and Presidency in every crisis across political parties,” the senior statesman declared, insisting that Wike was no longer a PDP member. They oppose Bola Tinubu being challenged for the presidency by a different party in 2027. Their time is being wasted.

“Wike claimed to be in charge of a PDP faction.” Which party? He is no longer affiliated with our party. Last November, at our convention in Ibadan, he was ejected. He wasn’t by himself. He was banished together with other characters. Their expulsion is still in effect today. Therefore, it is absurd that he is frightening Nigerians with Federal Government agents from Abuja to Rivers while claiming to be speaking on behalf of a PDP group. He is no longer with us.
