“You are a land grabber, stop blackmailing us and our customers”- Ogun family tells foreigner.

The Arapetu Descendant Family in the Makun area of Sagamu in Ogun State has carpeted a foreign national ,Madoka Madagascar over a viral video on the internet , describing him as a ” Land grabber “

The foreigner had in a video claimed that his life is under threat from armed thugs ,who invaded his land and threatened his life and those of his workers .

The family also absolved a very popular Ogun State estate agent ,Alhaji Mutairu Owoeye of any land grabbing or threat to life on the foreigner or any other person .

Arapetu family described the real estate practitioner as a buyer of the family ‘ s land ,after verifying their documents at the appropriate places .

Chief Adesola Taoheed ,the secretary of the family ,who spoke on behalf of the family said ” Our attention hasbeen drawn to a viral video by a foreigner ,Madoka Madagascar in respect of our family family land in Osopo Village along Lagos -Ibadan exoressway

He added that the said Madagascar is unknown to our family . We di not sell any land to him and whatever documents that he has is invalid . There is no armed thug on our land as claimed by the foreigner .”

” He claimed to be the head of project to a certain Carol International . We did sell any portion of our land to Carol International .Carol International claimed to have bought their land from the Awopetu family but we got a judgement against the said Awopetu Family .”

The family scribe added that ” We have our approval of title from the High Court in Sagamu in 2019 . We also have our paper from the Supreme Court of Southern Nigeria 1910 in respect of it .”

Chief Adesola also stated that ” The police through the Force Criminal Investigation Department FCID) had done a comprehensive investigation on the said land and made a formal report on he land .

” We only sold part of our land to Alhaji Mutairu Owoeye . He is not a land grabber on our land and he has not contracted any thug on the said land . The general public should disregard Madagascar .He is a land grabber .”

In a police report ,signed by DCP Mustapha Argungu on behalf of the DIG in charge of FCID dated 28th November 2022 and sighted by our correspondent,the police submitted that the said land was sold to Carol International under the guise of acquisition from the Ogun State Government .

Detailed investigation by the police atFCID through Ogun State Police Command ,Zone 2 Police Command ,High Court of Ogun State , Ogun State Land Registry,Office of the Ogun State Governor and other places also revealed that the said land was not acquired by the government and could not have been sold as an acquired land to the said foreigner and Carol International .

Rasak Kasunawo Alase ,the head of the Arapetu family also denied any relationship between his family and the said foreigner or Carol International.

He however called on the Ogun State Governor,Prince Dapo Abiodun ,the Speaker of the State House of Assembly Olakunle Oluomo and the police in the state to ensure a discreet investigation to ascertain the claim by the foreigner

The family head. said ” Madagascar is only trying to misinform and deceive the amiable governor of Ogun State ,Prince Dapo Abiodun and others .
