Differing opinions Due to his father’s failure to step in and resolve the ongoing conflict with the Ogun State Police, Nigerian artist Habeeb Okikiola, better known by his stage name Portable, has faced criticism.
Ogun State Planning and Development Permit Authority (OGPDPA) authorities reportedly visited Portable’s Odogwu Bar and Restaurant to close down the establishment because of inadequate air space and a lack of issued licenses, which sparked the altercation with the police.
The musician claimed that once the authorities broke into his place, they arrested more than 20 people, including both artists and patrons, and confiscated personal property, devices, and cars.
But Portable’s accusations were rejected as “spurious and blatant falsehood” by Olatunji Odunlami, Ogun State Commissioner for Physical Planning, who also stated that the arrest was made in accordance with legal process.
Portable remains at large, while nine others were charged with five counts of armed violence, felony, obstruction, assault, and intent to kill after the altercation.
The “Zazu Zeh” singer asserted that his father had deserted him in a message on his Instagram page on Tuesday, emphasizing that it was his father who helped manage the works.
The musician said that his father’s current situation resulted from his failure to settle with the authorities.
Additionally, he called his father a poor father and questioned why he hadn’t informed the police about him.

However, he wrote, “My father is a lousy father; why doesn’t he go to the police station to cover me? He stole my money after I gave him money to build all those residences. I won’t have a problem with these folks if I tell him to settle with them.
“Why is my father running for police? House where you say, “I’ll give you money and make you run am.” I am the Badmus Family, and all those houses are mine.
