There is no power that can stop President Bola Tinubu from winning the 2027 presidential election, according to Alhaji Saleh Zazzaga, chairman of the North-Central All Progressives Congress (APC) Forum.
“I am confident that Nigerians will overwhelmingly support Tinubu for a second term in office in 2027 because his policies are expected to have positively transformed the nation by the time of the election,” Zazzaga said in a statement released in Abuja on Friday, January 3, 2025.
Zazzaga, who is also a member of the APC Presidential Campaign Council from the 2023 election, reportedly made these remarks in response to remarks made by Kano State New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) leader Hashimu Suleiman Dungurawa.
Dungurawa recently warned Tinubu that if he decides to run for a second term in 2027, he will lose.
Dungurawa stated at a news conference in Kano on Thursday, January 2, 2025, that Nigerians will remove Tinubu from office in 2027 because of his policies, which they believed to be harmful to the people.
“With these severe anti-masses policies and your stance on them, just get ready to lose the next general elections,” he warned. The NNPP national leader, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, would defeat Tinubu in 2027, Dungurawa warned, adding, “You either change them or we Nigerians together will change you.”
“With these issues and many more brought about by the APC government, it is only a question of time, but we will make sure that Tinubu leaves in 2027 and that Kwankwaso, a true democrat, takes over.”
Tinubu won’t be stopped by magic in 2027.
The APC, led by Tinubu, is guaranteed to retain the presidency in 2027, Zazzaga stressed in reaction to the NNPP leader’s comments.
According to Zazzaga, Tinubu’s “courageous measures,” which included floating the Naira and doing away with the fuel subsidy, were necessary to move the country in the right direction.
According to him, Tinubu should be commended for taking actions that earlier administrations were hesitant to take. He also expressed optimism that Nigerians will soon benefit from these measures.
“There is no secret that will cause Tinubu to lose the 2027 presidential election. It is quite likely that the APC government led by President Bola Tinubu would be re-elected in 2027, not because of the incumbency factor but rather because the president is performing well and Nigerians will value his accomplishments.
“Making the Naira floating and eliminating subsidies are two of President Tinubu’s policies that were essential for the nation’s welfare.

Since previous governments failed to take the proper actions, President Tinubu deserves praise for his bravery in making the judgments that were essential to the nation’s existence.
The benefits of eliminating the subsidy and floating the Naira are already being felt, and by the time of the next elections, Nigeria’s economy will be so fully repositioned on the path of sustainable growth that the electorate will be forced to choose President Tinubu for a second term.
President Tinubu’s economic measures are already having the anticipated effect, as seen by the recent strengthening of the Naira on the foreign currency market, improvements in oil production volume, and an increase in foreign reserves, among other things. President Tinubu’s policies in the petroleum sector have already eliminated scarcity, and we believe that, with time, Nigerians will witness further reductions in the cost of petroleum products, which would reverse inflation in the country.
“President Bola Tinubu deserves a second term to midwife these reforms, which are already bearing fruit, and I believe all Nigerians should support his administration to improve the situation in the country,” Zazzaga said.
Tinubu’s Policies Shows He Is Taking Nigeria In Right Direction
The APC leader stated that Tinubu’s suggested tax reforms, which he characterized as “pro-poor,” would be advantageous for the general populace and promote the growth of small enterprises.
Zazzaga also emphasized that the North-Central APC Forum had expressed its support for Tinubu’s re-election after evaluating his administration’s performance, awarding the President favourable ratings in areas such as security, appointments, infrastructure, the economy, and more.
“An assessment of President Bola Tinubu’s policies shows that he is taking the country in the right direction and deserves the support of all Nigerians to get the country there.
“The North-Central APC Forum evaluated the programs and initiatives of the Federal Government, and it is evident that, since the current democratic dispensation in Nigeria, no other President has given the North-Central as many opportunities as President Bola Tinubu.
“No other President has brought as many infrastructural projects to the North-Central as the President Tinubu administration.
“The current level of insecurity in the North-Central is less than what was obtainable during previous administrations. Before now, it was difficult for our people, who are mostly farmers, to go to their farms because of insecurity.
“But now, due to the leadership provided by Mr. President, who has given marching orders to the Armed Forces and other security agencies, the people can now go to farm to cultivate and harvest their crops,” Zazzaga added.
He stressed that just as it did in the 2023 election, the North-Central APC Forum will work for Tinubu’s reelection in 2027.
