Eleven terrorists were killed by soldiers from the Nigerian Army’s 8 Division in a well-planned ambush at Kurawa Village in the Sabon Birni Local Government Area of Sokoto State.
The operation, which was a component of Operation FANSAN YAMMA, started at approximately 6:45 a.m. on Sunday, according to sources who spoke with Zagazola Makama. This was because forces received trustworthy human intelligence about the movement of a terrorist group that was attempting to enter Tara Village in the same council area.
According to the sources, the terrorists were effectively stopped along their purported crossing route by the 8 Division Garrison Strike Team, which executed the ambush.
A “swift, surgical, and professionally executed” operation resulted in the deaths of eleven terrorists, according to the source. Eight AK-47 firearms were discovered during the conflict.
