In Yelwan Ariri, Zaki Local Government Area, Bauchi State, a house was demolished and a man was injured in an attack by suspected Fulani Herdsmen.
Zagazola Makama said that the alleged herders were from Jigawa State’s Guri LGA.
Around 6:30 a.m. on Sunday, the attackers allegedly shot community member Garba Yahaya with an arrow and set Abba Ibrahim’s house on fire.
Sources claim that Hon. Ibrahim Chiroma, the Deputy Chairman of Zaki LGA, promptly notified the Zaki Divisional Police Station. The herders fled when police were called to the area.
After being taken to General Hospital in Katagum, the injured victim was admitted for treatment.
It was reported that although the incident was being investigated, efforts were being made to capture the perpetrators.
