Rev. Fr. Linus Matthew Bobai, the parish priest of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Kadarko Local Government Area, Kaduna State, claims that robbers broke into their community and abducted the catechist and his expectant wife along with thirty other people.
Bobai revealed this on Wednesday during an interview with Arise Television.
He emphasizes that there is tension in the town and that many people have fled for their life.
Sincerely, some troops from the nearby hamlet came after the attack, went around, and eventually we spotted them returning. That’s it.
“We have a disability. Tension is high in the neighborhood; more than 98% of people have left for a nearby settlement. We are not forty years old, those of us who slept in the village yesterday.
Many of them left this evening due to fear and other factors. We’re tense. Since we are pastors, some of us are terrified but are unable to flee. We urged a few others to remain and care for the community,” the priest stated.
