A tanker carrying Premium Motor Spirit, commonly referred to as gasoline, capsized in Lagos State’s Ikeja Along neighborhood and caught fire.
Late on Wednesday night, February 11, 2026, the gasoline truck lost control and fell onto the road, according to reports.
A fire broke out quickly after the car flipped over, causing fuel to flow all over the place.
Residents and drivers in the vicinity were alarmed as the fire spread around the truck.
As soon as possible, emergency personnel arrived on the spot to control the situation.
Lagos State Traffic Management Authority officers and other emergency personnel were on hand to manage traffic and put out the fire.
As efforts to suppress the flames progressed, drivers were rerouted to avoid additional danger.
Relatedly, a commercial minibus caught fire on Tuesday, resulting in a tragic traffic accident along Lagos’ Okota–Isolo route.
Eight individuals were injured and two persons were reported dead as a result of the incident.
The event took place on February 10, 2026, and included a yellow commercial bus with the registration number SMK 823 YK, which was known as Faka.
The car was traveling toward Mile 2 in the Okota area on the Ballet inbound route when the collision happened, according to data made public by the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority.
