In his political conflict with Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara has given an explanation for his decision to chose weakness.
During the New Telegraph Award/Dinner Night on Friday in Lagos State, where he was given a Man of the Year award, Fubara reportedly stated that selecting weakness was a conscious decision meant to maintain peace, secure political survival, and protect wider national interests.
The long-standing political tension that has affected Rivers State governance was discussed by Fubara in his victory address. He pointed out that spectators have frequently misconstrued his approach as weakness.
He made a point of saying that he made deliberate decisions because he wanted to keep things stable.
