Garba Shehu, the immediate Senior Special Assistant to the late President Muhammadu Buhari, has paid a visit to the Vice Presidential Candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Rotimi Amaechi.
Garba Shehu was reported to have disclosed this in a post on his social media handle on Sunday.
He said he visited the former Director-General of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council on the death of his mother.

Recall that Amaechi, a former Governor of Rivers State and Minister of Transportation, had lost his mother, Mary Amaechi, who passed away at the age of 89.
The family announced her death in a statement issued by the Rotimi Amaechi Media Office, saying the matriarch died peacefully.
The family described the late Mary Amaechi as a devoted Christian and a respected community leader who dedicated her life to promoting peace, unity and selfless service.
“Late Mrs Mary Amaechi was a beloved matriarch who held her family together in love, peace and unity. She was a leader within the community of women and a leader in Christianity, the statement said, noting her strong and resolute faith in God.
The family said the deceased was well-loved in her community and beyond for her compassion, generosity and constant support for others.
The statement added: “She was loved and highly respected in her community and will be remembered for her warmth, kindness and unwavering support for those around her and beyond.”
The family also thanked people for the outpouring of sympathy and condolences after her death.
