The Special Advisor to President Bola Tinubu on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, has been challenged to a debate on national television by Bolaji Abdullahi, National Publicity Secretary of the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
Abdullahi reportedly issued the challenge on Friday while appearing on “The Morning Brief” on Channels Television.
Abdullahi asked the government of the All Progressives Congress (APC) how the Electoral Act would increase the election’s credibility and transparency during his remarks about the 2027 election.
The ADC leader claims that the opposition parties’ existence annoys the ruling party and emphasizes that they will not be silenced.
APC National Public Secretary Felix Morka was also chastised by Abdullahi for using derogatory language and insults in their news releases.
“I’ll be ready to debate if you can get Bayo Onanuga to appear on TV to do so,” he remarked. not merely listening to what he said. Bring him over so we can discuss this. Let’s have a face-to-face meeting and allow him to demonstrate how the Electoral Act they approved will increase the election’s credibility and openness.
“This APC government appears to be annoyed that there is any opposition at all. They respond by saying, “Who are these people asking us questions?” They would prefer no one to inquire. They would prefer no one to question them.
