Aisha Yesufu, a human rights activist, has stated that she would not have learned what she has learned and continues to study in the African Democratic Congress (ADC) with a degree in political science.
This was revealed by the BringBackOurGirls Movement co-convener in a statement that was uploaded on her verified X profile on Saturday.
According to the article, Yesufu joined the ADC on December 31, 2025, not long after Peter Obi, the former Labour Party presidential candidate, defected to the party.
“No political science degree would have taught me the things I am learning just by being a registered member of ADC, and I love it.”
The actual power brokering occurs within political parties. “Joining ADC is the best choice I’ve ever made,” she remarked.
Recall that in advance of the 2027 elections, Yesufu had recently counseled opposition leaders Peter Obi and Atiku Abubakar to implement pragmatic campaign tactics that directly address the financial difficulties that many Nigerians are experiencing.
She maintained that because poverty is so pervasive, many people are more focused on their immediate survival than on political message.
