According to Daniel Bwala, President Bola Tinubu’s Special Advisor on Policy Communication, members of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) are ill-prepared for the next elections.
Bwala made the comments while criticizing party opposition figures, claiming that they were not prepared for the election process and that there was internal discord.
Bwala accused ADC members of introducing foreign meddling into Nigeria’s electoral process in response to allegations that Tinubu was planning to turn the country into a one-party state.
“The opposition members under the umbrella of ADC know quite well that they are not ready for the election because they all want to be president,” he wrote in a post on X.
“As if the foreign governments don’t have their embassies and commissions here in Nigeria to know the lack of preparation of the ADC… Association of party-grabbing elements, they have now resorted to importing foreign interference into our elections by accusing one party state.”
This comes after Tinubu was accused by ADC leader Peter Obi of turning Nigeria into a one-party state.
Rotimi Amaechi, who also spoke during the ADC protest at the Independent National Electoral Commission’s (INEC) headquarters on the deregistration of the David Mark-led group, predicted that the APC-led government would fail in 2027 despite efforts to undermine Nigeria’s democracy.
