Joe Igbokwe, the leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has called supporters of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) “clueless kids” who need to be trained and tamed.
Igbokwe reportedly said this in a post on his official Facebook page in response to the peaceful protest by ADC members and supporters at the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) headquarters in Abuja on Wednesday.
Remember that during the protest against INEC’s stance on the leadership crisis in the ADC, some of the party’s supporters were heard chanting “Tinubu must go.”
In response, Igbokwe asked why Tinubu should quit his job when he hasn’t even finished his first term yet.
He wrote, “I saw some street kids and touts yelling, “Tinubu must go, Tinubu must go.” Is Tinubu’s four-year term over?
“These kids from ADC don’t know what they’re doing and need to be trained.” The boys don’t know that the train has already left the station.
ADC, on the other hand, says that President Bola Tinubu’s administration is trying to stop its planned national convention in Abuja by not letting the party use important public spaces.
Bolaji Abdullahi, the party’s National Publicity Secretary, told Sahara Reporters on Friday that the ADC’s request to use the Eagle Square had not yet been answered, and that its application for the Velodrome had been turned down.
“Not that I know of.” We asked for the Eagle Square, but they haven’t gotten back to us. “We also wanted to use the velodrome, but they said they were hosting a cycling championship,” Abdullahi said.
He wouldn’t say where the party would now hold its convention because it was unclear.
“We’re not going to say that right now,” he said.
