Daniel Bwala, who is the Special Adviser to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Policy Communication, has said that the African Democratic Congress (ADC) coalition is using blackmail and doesn’t have a clear plan for the country.
Bwala said that the group was trying to scare Nigerians into backing it.
He wrote on X, “Desperate people do desperate things.” Usually, their coalition should give people hope and excitement, but because they don’t have a clear plan for Nigeria, no one takes them seriously.
He also said that the coalition’s plan hadn’t worked and accused it of spreading false information.
“You’d think that @PeterObi would bring in fake news CSO, fake TV anchors, and fake movement of irrational and double standards Obidient to get things going, but anything fake hardly lasts,” he said.
Bwala also said that the coalition was trying to sway voters by making Nigeria look bad to the rest of the world.
“They are now blackmailing Nigeria and the Nigerian people in front of the rest of the world. They expect tough and harsh treatment that will hurt the lives and economy of ordinary Nigerians, so that Nigerians will be scared into voting for them. That’s political banditry,” he said.
He questioned whether the coalition’s actions were legal, saying that a group accused of taking over a political party by force could not build a credible opposition.
“But wait, can people who invade a political party like the Gestapo, take over its structures by force, and kidnap the party actually build opposition?”
