Former Edo State Governor, Prof Oserheimen Osunbor, has accused the Federal Government, led by the All Progressives Congress, APC, of doing everything to destroy opposition political parties in Nigeria.
Osunbor made the allegation on Friday when he featured as a guest on the programme, ‘Politics Today’ of Channels Television.
He was responding to the activities of the APC directed at the opposition political parties in the country.
The Professor of Law also took a swipe at Chief of Staff to President Bola Tinubu, Femi Gbajabiamila over his recent statement.
The Speaker, House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, was reportedly asked to stay in the African Democratic Congress, ADC and destroy it by a member of the House of Representatives, Leke Ajebade.
“This government is doing everything within its power and beyond its power to destroy opposition political parties,” airing his own opinion, the ex-governor said.
“Independence of the legislature and independence of the judiciary are no longer there in Nigeria.
“Lately, the social media was flooded with a viral video of the Chief of Staff to Mr President telling a Reps member to stay in the ADC, fight them and scatter them.
