Hon. Francis Barthlomew Chima, popularly known as OmoBarca, has reaffirmed his commitment to grassroots development and quality representation as he attended the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) National Convention alongside party leaders, stakeholders and supporters from across the country.

The convention, which attracted thousands of delegates and members of the Obidient and Kwankwasiyya movements, marked a major turning point for the opposition coalition ahead of the 2027 general elections. “Ajeromi-Ifelodun deserves effective representation that will prioritize the welfare of the people, create opportunities for the youths and ensure that federal presence is felt across the constituency,” OmoBarca said.

He further explained that his political ambition is rooted in service, accountability and community development, stressing that the constituency has enormous human and economic potential that must be harnessed for collective progress.

OmoBarca noted that many residents of Ajeromi-Ifelodun continue to face economic hardship, unemployment, poor infrastructure and inadequate social support, adding that these challenges require practical legislative interventions and effective advocacy at the National Assembly.

He promised to focus on youth development, education, job creation, skills acquisition, healthcare support and improved infrastructure if elected into office in 2027.

According to him, empowering young people remains central to sustainable national development, especially in densely populated communities such as Ajeromi-Ifelodun.

“The youths are the strength of our society. We must invest in them through education, vocational training, entrepreneurship support and employment opportunities,” he stated.

The businessman and philanthropist also pledged to facilitate federal projects and attract developmental initiatives that would positively impact traders, artisans, students and vulnerable residents within the constituency.
