The NDC chieftain said that he and his followers were not rewarded for giving the late former President Muhammadu Buhari almost two million votes.
He said that although they risked their lives to get the numbers of votes, the camp of Buhari never recognised their hard work.
The former governor of Kano State said the experience prompted him to seek political change in an interview on Arise Television’s Prime Time on Monday night.
He said: “I have worked so hard We had about 1.9, almost 2 million votes. But we are not recognised as politicians. At that time we even risked our lives.
“Sadly we could not see any benefits either as individuals or for those represented by our constituencies.”
The ex-presidential candidate also said there are issues with the administration of President Bola Tinubu.
Kwankwaso said this crisis had made the people of Nigeria in all strata to desire change.
He said: “There are problems with this administration again, everybody knows. And so people are determined at grassroots level, and even at the level we are operating now, that there should be some level of changes.”
