Funso Doherty, a popular politician, has become the governorship candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) in Lagos State for the 2027 elections.
Doherty confirmed the development in a Friday post on his đť•Ź Account, where he says he has accepted the position with gratitude and humility.
He thanked the NDC leadership for deeming him worthy of the candidature and said the work of building a better Lagos has started.
It is with a deep sense of humility, gratitude and purpose that I accept our party’s nomination to serve as its candidate for Governor of Lagos State in 2027.
