Comrade Nurudeen Iyanda, the State Chairman of the Osun State Park Management System (OSTMS), was shot late last night while being held by the police.
Alhaji Mukaila Popoola, the State Secretary of the OSTMS, signed a statement in which the organization disclosed that Comrade Iyanda was shot under mysterious circumstances after being imprisoned for domestic reasons.

According to the statement, “our chairman was shot while in police custody under circumstances that call for thorough investigations.”
The OSTMS asked its members to maintain composure and abstain from taking any kind of revenge.
“We urge our members to refrain from enforcing laws ourselves. While we discuss the issue with the proper authorities, we must keep the parks peaceful,” Popoola continued.
