For allegedly defiling a five-year-old girl in Pindiga community, Akko Local Government of the state, a 27-year-old man has been detained by the Gombe State Police Command.
This was announced Tuesday in Gombe by ASP Buhari Abdullahi, the command spokesperson, as he paraded the suspect and others.
The defendant allegedly committed the crime in his parlor after luring the victim there, according to Abdullahi.
He claims the woman was brought to the hospital for medical care, where a physician verified that she had been sexually assaulted.
The matter was reported against the suspect at the Pingiga police station on December 15 at approximately 8:30 am, according to the PPRO.
He claimed that after luring the 5-year-old to his house, the suspect engaged her in sexual activity.

But after receiving the complaint, the aforementioned person was taken into custody.
He claimed that the victim was sent to Cottage Hospital immediately for medical attention and a doctor’s approval.
“The suspect confessed to the alleged crime during the course of the investigation and will be charged to court for prosecution,” the police image maker said.
