Ten EFCC staffers have been placed under arrest in connection with missing operational materials that may have been taken from the agency’s Lagos office.
Their suspected involvement in the heist is being investigated, the anti-graft agency said in a statement on Wednesday.
According to the statement, “ten officers from the Lagos Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, are being held in connection with an investigation into some missing items.”

“On orders from Executive Chairman Mr. Ola Olukoyede, the officers who were arrested last week are responding to inquiries about the theft of certain operational items that they were unable to account for.”
According to the agency, investigators are moving forward well, and those found guilty will face internal disciplinary procedures.
The action is part of the EFCC’s ongoing attempts to rid the organization of corrupt practices, the agency said.
