Senator John Azuta Mbata, a former politician who represented Rivers East Senatorial District in the National Assembly, has received congratulations from Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara on his appointment as Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide’s president general.
Mbata’s victory at yesterday’s Enugu election, according to Governor Fubara, is evidence of his widespread recognition as a successful Nigerian whose honesty and character are admirable.
He claimed that members of the socio-cultural organization implicitly trusted him to offer the necessary leadership to advance the Ohanaeze Ndigbo at this time, as evidenced by the delegates’ overwhelmingly positive votes.

Therefore, Governor Fubara wished Senator Mbata well and wished him luck in carrying out his noble responsibilities of promoting national unity and establishing cordial collaboration between Igbos and non-Igbos.
“I congratulate you once more on behalf of the government and the good people of Rivers State, and I assure you that we are ready to work with you to maintain and preserve national unity and cohesion,” expressed Governor Fubara.
