Kano State Police Command captured the wife of accused Chadian terrorist Ahmad Adam Abba, as well as two of his friends.
Abdullahi Kiyawa, the command’s spokeswoman, reported the development in a Friday press conference.
He said that the suspect’s companions, including a 42-year-old Chadian named Jibrin Mohammed and a Nigerian, were apprehended following a thorough investigation and intelligence-led policing.

The police spokesperson reaffirmed the command’s commitment to intensifying surveillance measures in vulnerable areas to combat crime and prevent future security threats, despite the fact that the terrorist’s associates are currently in custody.
He stated, “Based on one of the intelligence reports, Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) were found, and discreet investigations are currently underway. A sought suspected terrorist, Ahmad Adam Abba, a Chadian national who masterminded the massacre of seventeen (17) individuals in the Republic of Chad, has also been identified as planning to establish a terrorist camp in Kano.
“The sought Chadian suspected terrorist escaped from Nigeria, and we successfully caught three of the suspect’s associates, including his wife, another Chadian named Jibrin Mohammed, 42, and a Nigerian.
“I am glad to say that the Command has achieved substantial headway in our efforts to destroy these networks and neutralise any possible hazards, as criminals have no place to hide in the state.
“In addition to the foregoing arrests, we have increased our intelligence collection activities in a variety of locations. Our teams are working together with other intelligence agencies and community members to uncover any suspicious activity or individuals who may pose a security danger to our society.”
