In Abuja on Monday, 59 alleged online scammers were taken into custody by EFCC operation members.

This is what the commission’s spokesperson, Dele Oyewale, said in an Abuja statement.

The suspects were captured by commission agents near Abacha Road in the Mararaba axis of Nasarawa, according to Oyewale.

He claimed that the arrest followed reliable information regarding their alleged participation in fraudulent online activity.
73 phones of various brands were found by the commission, he added, and the culprits would shortly face charges.
