Abba Musa, the groom, and Maryam Sulieman, the bride’s older sister, died just thirty minutes before the wedding ceremony, causing tragedy in the Boto area of Tafawa Balewa local government area of Bauchi State.
It was reported that both people died in a vehicle accident.
Families as well as the entire community are in a state of profound shock and despair as a result of the development.
The victims were traveling from Murno, a town located roughly 5 km from Boto, to the ceremony when the tragedy happened, according to an eyewitness.
Speaking to Leadership, the groom’s brother Saminu Boto called the occurrence an unfathomable loss that has left everyone in a state of profound shock.
Such a loss is unthinkable. There is sadness throughout the community,” he stated. Friends and family are having a hard time accepting the unexpected loss, and the victims’ families are in complete shock.

After the unfortunate event, he claimed, the family house, which had been a center for preparations, had become a center for weeping and wailing, and the bride, Raihanatu Suleiman, and the entire family had been submerged in grief.”
Numerous locals have referred to the twofold tragedy as one of the most depressing days in recent memory, Boto said.
After the accident, both of the deceased were reportedly buried according to Islamic customs.
