To everyone who knew him, including his family and the Catholic Church, he bemoaned the anguish of his passing.

We are crushed and inconsolable after this sudden and cruel loss. As a selfless worker in the Lord’s vineyard, Fr. Sylvester was a devoted servant of God who advocated for peace, love, and hope.

His parishioners could always reach him without fail. His premature death has left our diocesan family with an unfillable hole, and we grieve with his family, friends, and everyone who knew and loved him.

Let’s unite as a single family in prayer for his soul’s rest. Since Fr. Sylvester sacrificed his life for the sake of God and humanity, we extend an invitation to all priests, religious and faithful, to celebrate Holy Masses, recite Rosaries, and offer prayers for his eternal rest.

“We want to warn that no one should take the law into their own hands and encourage our young people and the Takad community to pray calmly and firmly. In due time, the specifics of the funeral plans will be shared,” the message said.
