As part of Operation Safe Haven, troops from the Nigerian Army’s 3 Division have captured firearms and captured a notorious gunrunner along the Bokkos-Bot-Mangu road in Plateau State’s Bokkos Local Government Area.

Sengi David, 21, of Kopal Village in the Panyam District of Mangu LGA, was apprehended Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. while trying to smuggle the guns.
According to the report, “he was discovered in possession of 48 rounds of 7.62mm special ammunition and one AK-47 magazine bearing civil police markings.”
